Healthwatch Rochdale celebrated 10 years of championing the voices of local residents to improve health and social care services. Over the past year, they have worked tirelessly to gather feedback through Information, Advice, and Signposting Surgeries, surveys, and community outreach.
Notable achievements include publishing key reports, such as the Menopause Matters report, and conducting Enter and View visits to Rochdale Infirmary. These efforts have led to actionable recommendations and positive changes, such as improvements in GP services and the re-establishment of Patient Participation Groups (PPGs) across the borough.
Healthwatch Rochdale continues to support diverse communities, advocate for health equity, and provide guidance to residents. Looking ahead, their focus will be on tackling health inequalities, expanding the Enter and View Programme in care homes, and strengthening primary care engagement
