Healthwatch Rochdale – Annual Report 2023-2024

Healthwatch Rochdale has continued its work as the independent champion for health and social care services in the borough, ensuring that the voices of local residents are heard. Over the past year, they have reached out to diverse communities through events, advice stalls, and feedback sessions, addressing key issues such as access to services, transportation for healthcare, and support for ethnic minority women experiencing menopause.

Healthwatch Rochdale successfully conducted several Enter and View visits, including one joint visit with Healthwatch Oldham at the Royal Oldham Hospital. Additionally, they made significant progress on projects, such as improving GP websites, addressing gaps in “tongue tie” services for newborns, and highlighting the importance of community support for menopause.

Through continued collaboration with the Greater Manchester Healthwatch Network, communinty partnerships and the local Integrated Care System, Healthwatch Rochdale remains dedicated to improving services and addressing inequalities.
